New Delhi: Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, and Textiles, Piyush Goyal, chaired the second meeting of the reconstituted Board of Trade at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. During the meeting, Minister Goyal announced the commencement of work on the Trade Connect ePlatform, an intermediary platform designed to connect Indian exporters and entrepreneurs with various stakeholders in international trade.
The Trade Connect ePlatform is set to play a crucial role in facilitating interactions between Indian exporters, entrepreneurs, and international trade stakeholders. It aims to assist new and aspiring exporters by providing information on market access regulations, sectors, export trends, and benefits under Free Trade Agreements. Additionally, the platform will offer access to sector-specific events and a mechanism to address trade-related queries to officials in the Government of India and associated entities for expert advice.
The development of the ePlatform is expected to be completed within the next 3-4 months, providing a comprehensive resource for the Indian business community engaged in international trade. The initiation of this platform aligns with the government’s commitment to enhancing support mechanisms for exporters, fostering growth in the international trade sector, and promoting a conducive environment for businesses to thrive.
