Bhubaneswar: The Meteorological Centre Bhubaneswar, under the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), has predicted relatively stable maximum day temperatures in the next 24 hours across the region. According to the forecast, there will be no significant change in the maximum day temperature, with a slight rise expected by 8 to 10 degrees Celsius in most places over the districts of the State.
Similarly, the minimum night temperature is anticipated to remain relatively unchanged in the next 24 hours, with a slight rise of 3-5 degrees Celsius projected over the subsequent 4 to 5 days in most places across Odisha.
Over the past 24 hours, several parts of the State experienced rainfall and thunderstorm activities, providing relief from the prevailing weather conditions.

Day 1 (Valid until 0830 hrs IST of 21.03.2024):
Orange Warning (Be Prepared): Heavy rainfall, ranging from 7cm to 11cm, is expected at one or two places over districts including Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, and Gajapati.
Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning is likely to occur at one or two places over several districts, including Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, and Malkangiri.
Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 21.03.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 22.03.2024):
Light rain or thundershower is expected at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, and Dhenkanal.
