New Delhi: In a significant move, the Central Government has declared a half-day for all its offices, institutions, and industrial establishments until 2:30 pm on January 22. This decision comes in anticipation of the consecration ceremony at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, a landmark event that holds cultural and religious significance.
The half-day directive encompasses all Central Government Offices, Central Institutions, and Central Industrial Establishments, demonstrating the government’s commitment to fostering a sense of inclusivity during this momentous occasion.
A statement from the government emphasizes the nationwide celebration of the Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha at Ayodhya on January 22, 2024. The decision to implement a half-day closure aims to facilitate the active participation of government employees in the celebratory events associated with this spiritual event.
“To enable employees to participate in the celebrations, it has been decided that all Central Government Offices, Central Institutions, and Central Industrial Establishments throughout India will be closed for half a day until 14:30 hours (2:30 pm) on 22nd January 2024,” the official statement declares.
