Bhubaneswar: The Vrindavan Mahotsav witnessed a spectacular evening of classical dance and music as renowned actress and Bharatanatyam exponent Hema Malini captivated the audience with a mesmerizing performance at Rabindra Mandap. Organized by the Odia Language, Literature, and Culture Department in collaboration with Brindavan Gurukul, the festival celebrated the rich cultural heritage of Odisha.
Hema Malini commenced her performance with a soulful Pushpanjali, followed by devotional renditions of Ganesh Aradhana and Lakshmi Stuti. The audience was spellbound as she brought to life the emotions of Jayadeva’s Gita Govinda and performed a captivating dance to the bhajan “Aaji Bada Danda Bhida Bhari, Gundicha Jatra Kari”. Her performance was elevated by the synchronized movements of Natya Vihar Kala Kendra dancers, while disciples of Brindavan Gurukul enhanced the spiritual ambiance with their flute and tabla recitals.
