Vikrant Massey Honored as Indian Film Personality of the Year at IFFI 2024

Goa: Acclaimed actor Vikrant Massey received the prestigious Indian Film Personality of the Year award during the grand closing ceremony of the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa. The honor was presented by Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Sanjay Jaju, Secretary of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, in recognition of Massey’s remarkable contributions to Indian cinema.

In an emotional acceptance speech, Massey reflected on his journey, expressing gratitude and humility. “This is a truly special moment for me. I never imagined I would receive such an honor. Life has its ups and downs, but we must always be ready to restart, as my character did in the film 12th Fail,” he said. He went on to emphasize his love for storytelling, noting, “I am a storyteller at heart. I choose scripts that allow me to become the voice of the common people. Own yourself, your stories, and your roots, wherever you come from. The Indian film industry is one of the most spectacular industries to be a part of.”
