Union Minister Jitendra Singh Hails Young Civil Servants as Architects of ‘Viksit Bharat @ 2047’

New Delhi: Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh today called young civil servants the “architects of Viksit Bharat @ 2047” during his address at the Dr. Rajendra Prasad National Convention, held at the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA). Addressing a distinguished gathering of civil servants, academicians, industry leaders, and students, Dr. Singh emphasized their pivotal role in shaping India’s transformation into a developed nation by its centenary of independence.

Highlighting the vital contribution of young leaders, Dr. Singh described civil servants as the driving force behind the nation’s progress. “Your vision, dedication, and innovative approach will determine the success of this mission,” he said.

The Minister announced key government initiatives introduced under the Union Budget 2024-25 to empower India’s youth, including advanced skill training for 20 lakh young people, modernization of 1,000 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), and internship opportunities for one crore individuals. These measures aim to equip young Indians with the skills to compete in a global economy.

Dr. Singh also stressed the importance of inclusivity, particularly women’s enhanced participation in the workforce. He highlighted game-changing initiatives like working women hostels, crèches, and market access for women-led Self-Help Groups (SHGs), calling them vital to ensuring women’s equal role in the nation’s development journey.

Discussing infrastructure and sustainability, the Minister underlined the government’s focus on world-class infrastructure through PM Gati Shakti and clean energy investments. He lauded India’s leadership in green initiatives, including its target of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel energy capacity by 2030. Additionally, he spotlighted advancements in artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and renewable energy, driven by policies under Digital India and the Atal Innovation Mission.

Dr. Singh also reflected on India’s global achievements, particularly its successful G20 Presidency, which underscored its leadership in addressing global challenges such as climate change, food security, and digital transformation. He expressed confidence in India’s growing prominence on the world stage, advocating equitable solutions to shared challenges.

In his concluding remarks, Dr. Singh issued a heartfelt call to action for young civil servants to take ownership of the nation’s growth. “You are not just administrators; you are the architects of our future,” he said. “The vision of Viksit Bharat @ 2047 rests on your shoulders. Together, let us build an India that is developed, inclusive, sustainable, and a global leader in every sense.”

His address resonated deeply with the audience, leaving them inspired and motivated to contribute to this ambitious vision. It underscored the collective responsibility of every citizen in achieving the dream of a prosperous, self-reliant India by 2047.
