Startup Utsav 2024 to Showcase Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Startup Odisha is gearing up to host Startup Utsav 2024 in Bhubaneswar, starting from January 31. This event, dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the entrepreneurial spirit and innovation in the state, promises a dynamic lineup of activities.

The occasion will be marked by awards, felicitations, and the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with industry leaders, including ICAI, NIF, ISBA, and NRDC. Numerous sessions on diverse topics, such as the Blockchain Ecosystem of India, Design Thinking, the Role of Academic Institutions & Incubators, Innovation, Technology, Intellectual Property, and Institutional Support for Entrepreneurship, are scheduled.

The Utsav will shine a spotlight on the achievements of Incubator of the Year, Supportive Incubator of the Year, and Emerging Incubator of the Year. It will also commend successful incubators and acknowledge externally funded startups. The event will recognize top innovators from Odisha Startup Yatra and Odisha Startup Xpress, along with rewarding the top ten innovators from each program.

In addition, the Utsav will feature segments highlighting student-led enterprises, women-led startups, and showcase the outstanding achievements of 122 Startup Odisha Grantees from 2022-23 and 51 Startup Odisha Grantees from 2023-24. The launch of Startup Yatra Booklets and Brochures, along with the felicitation of the top 50 innovators from both Startup Yatra and Xpress, will be significant components of the event.

Both Startup Yatra-2023 and Startup Xpress-2023 were inaugurated by the Chief Minister on September 11, 2023. Encompassing over 200 colleges and 60 schools, these initiatives witnessed a total participation of over 36,535 students and collected more than 4,436 ideas, surpassing the initial target of 3,500 ideas.
