Sand Artist Sudarsan Pattnaik Uses 5 Quinta Mangoes to Creates Sculpture to Promote Voting Awareness

Bhubaneswar: Renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik has once again utilized his artistic talents to inspire civic responsibility, crafting a vast sand sculpture on Puri Beach, Odisha, to raise awareness about voting.

Covering an expansive 2,000 square feet, Pattnaik’s latest masterpiece bears the message “Chunab ka Parba, Desh ka Garv” (Festival of Elections, Pride of the Nation). This impressive creation aims to encourage voter participation during the ongoing elections for six Lok Sabha and 42 assembly segments.

Given that mangoes are a beloved summer fruit, Pattnaik ingeniously incorporated them into his design to draw attention and engage the public. The sand sculpture, which used around five quintals of mangoes, took approximately five hours to complete. Pattnaik’s students from his sand art institute also contributed to the creation, showcasing their skills and dedication.

Earlier in the year, on March 10, Pattnaik had created another impactful sand sculpture on Puri Beach to encourage first-time voters. This earlier work carried the message “Mera Pehla Vote Desh Ke Liye” (My first vote for the nation), underscoring the importance of every citizen’s participation in the democratic process.
