Reliance Foundation and NSDC Partner to Empower 500,000 Indian Youth with Future-Ready Skills

New Delhi: Reliance Foundation and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) have embarked on a strategic partnership aimed at providing future-ready skills to 500,000 Indian youth. The collaboration will focus on developing a curriculum catering to emerging fields like EdTech, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (AI), environmental sustainability, policy analysis, and more. With Reliance Foundation’s digital-forward approach, the partnership aims to attract youth interested in innovative career paths demanding forward-thinking skills.

Expressing optimism about India’s skilling journey, Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister for Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, stated, “India will become unstoppable by embracing the mantra of skilling, re-skilling, and up-skilling. Various digital initiatives in the skilling ecosystem are ensuring Skills Anywhere, Skills Anytime, and Skills for All. As India marches towards becoming a developed nation, by leveraging technology, scale, and sustainability, the Indian workforce will meet not only domestic demand but also global demand and set new benchmarks.”

Underlining the significance of the partnership, Jagannatha Kumar, CEO of Reliance Foundation, commented, “India has the largest youth population in the world, and this is our effort to prepare them with future-ready skills. At Reliance Foundation, we believe that this will help in fulfilling their aspirations and achieve their goals. This partnership with NSDC will help youth in skilling, aligning competencies with evolving work profiles and opportunities. The collaboration includes designing and developing high-quality curriculum, establishing student services, training trainers, facilitating collaborations, AI-aided online assessments, certifications, and industry-aligned placements. The partnership between Reliance Foundation and NSDC further strengthens the commitment to creating and enhancing livelihoods for marginalized communities and youth.
