Prime Minister Narendra Modi Unveils Over Rs 9750 Crores Worth of Development Projects in Rewari, Haryana

Rewari: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated, dedicated to the nation, and laid the foundation stone for a slew of development projects worth more than Rs 9750 crores during his visit to Rewari, Haryana, today. Covering critical sectors such as urban transport, health, rail, and tourism, these projects are set to transform the region and contribute significantly to India’s growth trajectory.

The Prime Minister commenced the event by taking a walkthrough of exhibitions showcasing the projects, emphasizing their importance in fostering economic development, job creation, and enhancing the overall quality of life for the residents.

Addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Modi paid homage to the bravehearts of Rewari, acknowledging the strong connection he shares with the people of the region. He recalled his first program as a PM candidate in 2013 in Rewari and expressed gratitude for the continuous support and good wishes received from the people.

Highlighting the significance of economic nationalism, the Prime Minister urged the audience to import only what is “unavoidably essential” to prevent the drain of India’s foreign exchange, loss of employment opportunities, and impediments in entrepreneurship growth. He stressed the importance of being “Vocal for Local,” aligning with the ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ vision.

The Prime Minister unveiled a series of development projects, including AIIMS Rewari, Gurugram Metro, several rail lines, and new trains. He emphasized the role of these initiatives in modernizing roadways and railway networks, contributing to the overall development of Haryana.

AIIMS Rewari, with a cost of about Rs 1650 crores, will be established under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY), providing comprehensive, quality, and holistic tertiary care health services to the people of Haryana. The Gurugram Metro Rail project, with an investment of about Rs 5450 crores, aims to provide world-class environment-friendly mass rapid urban transport systems.

The Prime Minister also inaugurated Anubhav Kendra Jyotisar, Kurukshetra, a state-of-the-art experiential museum built at a cost of around Rs 240 crores. Spanning over 17 acres, the museum utilizes cutting-edge technology, including Augmented Reality (AR), 3D laser, and projection mapping, to bring the epic narrative of the Mahabharata and the teachings of the Gita to life.

In addition, several railway projects were launched, including the doubling of rail lines and the inauguration of the Rohtak-Meham-Hansi rail line. These projects aim to enhance rail infrastructure, reduce travel time, and improve connectivity in the region.

The Prime Minister expressed his commitment to transforming Haryana into a developed state, creating new employment opportunities in various sectors. He applauded the state’s growth in agriculture, industries, and infrastructure development, emphasizing the collaborative efforts of the central and state governments.

The event was attended by dignitaries, including the Governor of Haryana, Bandaru Dattatreya, Chief Minister of Haryana, Shri Manohar Lal Khattar, and other Ministers of the Haryana Government.
