Prime Minister Narendra Modi Unveils Ambitious Development Projects Worth Rs 21,400 Crores in Aurangabad, Bihar
Aurangabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated a multitude of development projects, collectively valued at Rs 21,400 crores, in the historic city of Aurangabad, Bihar. The projects span various sectors, including road, railway, and the Namami Gange initiative, showcasing a transformative vision for the region.
Highlighting the significance of Aurangabad, known for its rich history and contributions to the freedom struggle, the Prime Minister expressed that today marks the beginning of a new era for Bihar’s development. Emphasizing the government’s commitment to timely completion, he assured the citizens, stating, “This is Modi’s guarantee.”
The inauguration included projects such as the Amas-Darbhanga four-lane corridor, Danapur-Bihta four-lane elevated road, and the Sherpur-Dighwara Phase of the Patna Ring Road. Additionally, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for the Ara Bye Pass rail line and twelve projects under the Namami Gange program.
Addressing the crowd, Prime Minister Modi acknowledged the anticipation for the Varanasi-Kolkata Expressway, emphasizing its potential to significantly reduce travel time to Uttar Pradesh and Kolkata. He commended the government’s commitment to completing projects on time and congratulated the people of Bihar for these transformative initiatives.
The Prime Minister paid tribute to Jan Nayak Karpoori Thakur, recently honored with the Bharat Ratna, recognizing it as an honor for the entire state. He also highlighted the Pran Patishtha at the Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya Dham, celebrating the joyous participation of the people of Bihar.
Speaking on the resumption of the double-engine government in the state, the Prime Minister remarked on Bihar’s newfound enthusiasm and self-confidence, noting the marginalization of dynasty politics in the region.
The comprehensive development projects encompass various sectors, promising a substantial impact on Bihar’s infrastructure. The Prime Minister outlined the expected transformation of cities like Patna, Nalanda, Jahanabad, Gaya, Vaishali, Samastipur, and Darbhanga through the road projects. Additionally, he highlighted the connectivity to tourist destinations like Bodhgaya, Vishnupad, Rajgir, Nalanda, Vaishali, and Pavapuri, showcasing the potential for Bihar’s tourism sector.
Reflecting on the improvement in the tourism sector, Prime Minister Modi mentioned the introduction of modernized trains like Vande Bharat and Amrit Bharat, as well as the development of Amrit Bharat Stations. He praised the shift from past insecurity and youth migration to the current focus on skill development programs.
The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for the Ekta Mall, emphasizing its role in promoting Bihar’s handicrafts and signaling a positive direction for the state’s economy.
Promising not to let Bihar slip into the past, the Prime Minister affirmed the government’s commitment to uplifting the poor, Dalits, backward classes, tribals, and the deprived. He highlighted various welfare schemes, including the PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Ujjwala Gas connections, and PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, showcasing the government’s focus on inclusive development.
