Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Embark on State Visit to Bhutan
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a state visit to Bhutan from March 21 to March 22, 2024, reaffirming the enduring bond of friendship between the two nations and India’s steadfast commitment to its Neighbourhood First Policy.
During his visit, Prime Minister Modi will be received in audience by His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, the King of Bhutan, and His Majesty Jigme Singye Wangchuck, the Fourth King of Bhutan. Additionally, Prime Minister Modi will engage in bilateral talks with the Prime Minister of Bhutan, H.E.Tshering Tobgay.
The visit holds immense significance as it underscores the deep-rooted partnership and shared values between India and Bhutan. United by a common spiritual heritage and strong people-to-people ties, the two nations have fostered a relationship built on mutual trust, understanding, and goodwill.
