Pioneer of Social Justice from Satapada Duryodhan Pradhan Passes Away
Satapada: Duryodhan Pradhan, a distinguished social worker and a pioneer of social justice from Satapada, Puri, passed away at the age of 83. He breathed his last on January 27 at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar.
A visionary leader, Pradhan served as the Sarpanch of the undivided Satapada Gram Panchayat from 1977 to 1982. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in promoting economic development, ensuring social justice, and fostering unity among the people of the region.
Passionate about education, Pradhan founded the Basudev High School to address the educational needs of the area. He was also one of the founding members and a governing body member of the Panchayat College of Education and Technology, Satapada, further cementing his legacy as a champion of education.
A man of profound knowledge, Pradhan had deep insights into religion, mythology, astrology, and the Puranas, which earned him respect and admiration among the people.
He is survived by his four sons, daughters-in-law, a daughter, a son-in-law, and grandchildren Reeva, Kiara, Reesha, Aaryan, Aaradhya, and Srinika.
His contributions to society and his commitment to social welfare will be fondly remembered by all.
