Bhubaneswar: Bringing pride to Odisha, Ritika Rath has emerged as the state topper in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Examination 2024, securing an impressive All India Rank (AIR) of 48. The results were announced on Tuesday by the UPSC.
A former student of SAI International School, Bhubaneswar, Ritika completed her Class X in 2017 and has now earned her place among the country’s top civil service aspirants. With this remarkable achievement, she has successfully qualified for the prestigious Indian Administrative Service (IAS).
Ritika’s accomplishment has been celebrated across the state, with many hailing her as an inspiration for aspiring civil servants, especially young women in Odisha. Her dedication and perseverance through one of India’s toughest competitive exams have earned her a place in the nation’s administrative framework.
This year, the UPSC has recommended a total of 1,009 candidates for appointment to various services including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Central Services Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’.
Ritika’s success not only highlights individual brilliance but also reflects the growing pool of talent emerging from Odisha, poised to take on leadership roles in public service at the national level.
