Bhubaneswar: The General Administration & Public Grievances Department of Odisha has directed all government employees to submit their annual property statements for the year 2024 by January 31, 2025. The directive was communicated through a circular issued to all government departments, heads of departments, Revenue Divisional Commissioners (RDCs), and Collectors & District Magistrates.
Under the Odisha Government Servants Conduct (Amendment) Rules, 2021, government employees from Group A to Group D must declare their complete and accurate assets, including both movable and immovable properties, with their values as of January 1 each year. The circular mandates that these declarations be submitted exclusively online via the HRMS Portal, with no acceptance of hard copy submissions.
The circular also emphasized that the up-to-date filing of property statements is a prerequisite for consideration for promotions. Employees failing to meet the January 31 deadline risk being excluded from promotion eligibility.
Heads of departments have been tasked with ensuring that all employees under their jurisdiction are adequately informed and adhere to the timeline. This measure aims to promote transparency and accountability within the government workforce.
