Odisha Govt Extends Deadline for e-KYC Update for Ration Card Beneficiaries

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has extended the deadline for updating e-KYC details for ration card beneficiaries until February 15, announced Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Krushna Chandra Patra on Thursday.

The initial deadline for the update was set for January 31, but the government decided to extend it after noticing that a significant number of beneficiaries had yet to complete the process.

“We have decided to extend the deadline to February 15 for updating e-KYC details,” Minister Patra said while addressing the media.

He further shared that approximately 39 lakh beneficiaries in the state have not yet completed their e-KYC, while a total of 2.95 crore individuals in Odisha, along with 1.32 lakh people residing outside the state, have successfully updated their details.

The government has urged all ration card beneficiaries to complete their e-KYC updates before the extended deadline to ensure uninterrupted access to benefits under the Public Distribution System (PDS).
