Odisha Board of Secondary Education Introduces Digital Certificates for HSC Examinees

Bhubaneswar: In a move towards digitization and efficiency, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) in Odisha has announced that candidates who recently appeared for the High School Certificate (HSC) examinations can now expect to receive their certificates digitally within 7 days of the results being declared.

BSE President Srikant Tarai made this announcement during a press briefing held in Cuttack on Saturday. Tarai emphasized that this year marks the debut of digital certificates, aimed at simplifying the process and providing greater accessibility to students. The digital certificates will be available for download from the official website within a week of the results being announced, providing candidates with quick and convenient access to their credentials.

In addition to the introduction of digital certificates, Tarai also announced a significant change in the issuance of hard copies. Instead of the previous timeframe of one month, students will now be able to collect hard copies of their certificates from their respective schools within 15 days of the result declaration.

Assuring timely declaration of results for the HSC examinations 2024, Tarai revealed that the evaluation process commenced on March 14. With the engagement of approximately 16,235 teachers across 55 evaluation centres statewide, the board aims to conclude the evaluation by March 28.

This year, over 5.62 lakh students appeared for the Matriculation examination conducted by BSE between February 20 and March 4. Despite logistical hurdles, the board remains resolute in ensuring a seamless and timely evaluation process, underscoring their dedication to maintaining educational standards in Odisha.
