
Bhubaneswar: The Utkarsh Odisha: Make in Odisha Conclave 2025 began with remarkable momentum, securing 54 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) on its opening day. The event, held in Bhubaneswar, is shaping up to be a game-changer for the state’s industrial and economic landscape, attracting significant global attention and investment commitments.
Industries Secretary Hemant Sharma highlighted that several MoUs were finalized in advance, with more agreements expected to follow during the CEO Roundtable chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Majhi. The conclave has drawn industry titans, global envoys, and business delegations from over 16 countries, reinforcing Odisha’s strategic importance on the global investment map.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his opening address, urged businesses to capitalize on the opportunities Odisha offers, describing the state as a rising powerhouse under “Modi ki Guarantee.” His words have already spurred record commitments, including the Adani Group’s massive ₹2.3 lakh crore investment spanning multiple sectors over the next five years.
