Odia Film “Dear Purusha” Makes History as the First to Grace Times Square Billboard

Bhubaneswar: In a groundbreaking achievement for Regional Indian Cinema, the Odia film “Dear Purusha,” directed by the renowned Jiit Chakraborty and produced by Jhilik Motion Pictures, has secured a historic position on the prominent Times Square billboard in New York City. This remarkable milestone not only signifies the film’s universal resonance but also marks a significant moment for the Indian Regional film industry.

“Dear Purusha” intricately explores the complexities of the lives of six couples, delivering a compelling portrayal of men navigating societal expectations and familial challenges. At the heart of the narrative is Chitrangada, a valiant warrior advocating for men’s perspectives, leaving audiences in suspense about the unfolding quest for justice.

Featuring a stellar ensemble cast including Choudhury Jayprakash Das, Maheswata Ray, Siddhant Mohapatra, Jhilik Bhattacharjee, Nitu Singh, Samresh Routray, Pinky Pradhan, Bobby Mishra, B.M. Baisali, Devasis Patra, Anuradha Panigrahi, Dipanwit Dashmohapatra, Divya Mohanty, Partha Sarathi Ray, Ananya Mishra, Kuna Tripathy, Sukanth Rath, Rabi Mishra, Ipshita, Rakhee, and others, the film has garnered attention for its compelling storyline and captivating characters.

This historic accomplishment not only elevates “Dear Purusha” but also opens doors for regional cinema to leave a lasting impact on the global stage. The film’s unique storyline and universal themes have transcended cultural boundaries, resonating with audiences beyond geographical constraints.

The skilled cinematographer Iswar Barik is behind the lens for “Dear Purusha.” Music has been composed by Gaurav Anand.
