
New Delhi: In a pivotal move to enhance rural infrastructure and foster economic development in the North-Eastern region, the Ministry of Rural Development has sanctioned 55.89 km of road length for Nagaland under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY-III). With an estimated investment of ₹54.75 crore, this initiative is part of the government’s broader effort to improve connectivity in rural areas, aligning with its vision of a prosperous Northeast and a developed India (Viksit Bharat).
This latest approval comes on the heels of a larger ongoing initiative, where 40 roads covering 506.69 km have already been sanctioned under PMGSY-III in Nagaland, with an estimated investment of ₹489.70 crore.
