Odisha Opens 24×7 Helpline in Delhi for State Residents Affected by Nepal Flash Flood

Bhubaneswar: In a move to support Odisha residents who may have been caught up in the devastating flash floods in Nepal, the State Government has established a round-the-clock control room at Odisha Niwas in New Delhi.

The facility has been set up amid reports of a large number of Indians being unaccounted for after a massive flash flood hit parts of Nepal on Wednesday.

The Office of the Chief Resident Commissioner, Odisha, has announced that the control room will coordinate assistance for people from Odisha affected by the disaster and help facilitate communication with the concerned authorities.

The 24×7 control room can be reached at 7428135044 and 8527580245. People can also contact the facility through the landline number 011-23012807.

For additional assistance, the government has advised people to contact the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) helplines at 9851316807 and 9709107500.

The initiative is aimed at ensuring that Odisha residents affected by the Nepal disaster receive timely assistance and that their families have an avenue to seek information and support.
