Bhubaneswar: As part of the ongoing Nua-O Program and in line with Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s directives, V. Kartik Pandian, Chairman of 5T and Nabin Odisha, visited Nuapada District to assess the status of various developmental projects and engage with the local community.
During his visit, Pandian actively participated in the Nua-O Program, interacting with students from all colleges in Nuapada. The Nua-O initiative aims to provide a platform for young talents, fostering overall personality development alongside academic achievements. Pandian urged students to cultivate self-confidence, work diligently, and aspire to achieve success in their lives. He also emphasized the ongoing college transformation projects in the district, highlighting their expected completion by February.
Pandian commenced his review by inspecting the progress of the development projects at Maa Sunadei Temple, Jogeswar Temple, and Patal Ganga, collectively valued at Rs. 12.35 Crores.
Additionally, he assessed the advancements in the Mega Lift Irrigation project in Konabira and six other locations in Boden and Sinapali Blocks. These projects, costing Rs. 425.43 Crores, are set to irrigate an ayacut area of 21,269 Acres. Notably, these initiatives were initiated based on grievances and demands expressed by the local community during Pandian’s visit in May 2023.
The review extended to major projects such as the construction of the Trauma Care Facility at DHH Nuapada (Rs. 75.70 Crores), the OPD IPD Complex & Implementation of AMA HOSPITAL at SDH, Khariar (Rs. 17.74 Crores), and the development of the road from Sunabeda to Komna (Rs. 30 Crores).
Many of these projects were initiated following Pandian’s previous visit to Nuapada District in May 2023, where he attended grievance meetings and collected feedback from the public.
Pandian concluded his visit by interacting with the public at Binopur Field in Nuapada, addressing grievances on various issues, and assuring prompt resolutions.
