Make-in-Odisha 2025 Aims to Attract Over ₹5 Lakh Crore in Investments

New Delhi: The Make-in-Odisha 2025 Conclave, held in New Delhi, set an ambitious target to attract investments exceeding ₹5 lakh crore, positioning Odisha as a premier destination for industrial growth and development. The event was spearheaded by Odisha’s Chief Minister, Mohan Majhi, and saw participation from ambassadors representing 34 nations, industry leaders, and sector representatives.

As part of the ‘Utkarsh Odisha’ initiative, the conclave highlighted the state’s dynamic industrial landscape and its investment opportunities. CM Majhi emphasized the state’s investor-friendly environment and its focus on ease of doing business. “Our goal is to draw significant investments to Odisha, fostering partnerships that will drive economic growth and create employment opportunities,” he said during his address.

One-on-one meetings between CM Majhi and industry delegates discussed Odisha’s strategic initiatives to attract global investments, with a focus on sectors like food processing, IT, chemicals, petrochemicals, and tourism. These discussions underscored the state’s commitment to fostering industrial partnerships and supporting business ventures.

The New Delhi event also served as a curtain-raiser for the Make-in-Odisha Conclave, scheduled for January 2025 in Bhubaneswar. This summit is expected to further bolster Odisha’s position as a key player in India’s industrial landscape.

Ambassadors and high commissioners from nations such as Malaysia, Bahrain, and Indonesia expressed keen interest in partnering with Odisha. “We see great potential in collaborating with Odisha, especially in sectors like IT and education,” noted Malaysia’s High Commissioner to India, Muzaffar Shah Mustafa.
