Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan Inaugurates Advanced Cybersecurity Operations Centre for Police

Thiruvananthapuram: In a significant step toward strengthening cybersecurity infrastructure, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Wednesday inaugurated the Advanced Cybersecurity Operations Centre (SOC) of the Kerala Police Cyber Division through video conferencing. The initiative aims to bolster cybersecurity for police networks and critical infrastructure across the state.

The Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT), an R&D center under the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Ministry of Communications, has designed and developed the TRINETRA cybersecurity platform—a state-of-the-art AI-powered solution to enhance digital security. TRINETRA provides real-time monitoring of network traffic, user behavior, and potential cyber threats, ensuring a robust 24×7 security operations center to identify vulnerabilities, detect anomalies, and mitigate cyber risks.

The newly launched SOC will focus on securing computers and critical infrastructure at the police headquarters, city commissionerates, and police stations, enhancing data protection and improving Kerala Police’s cyber resilience.

The offline inaugural function was attended by Kadakampally Surendran, MLA, Dr. Pankaj Kumar Dalela, Executive Vice President, C-DOT, Technopark CEO Sanjeev Nair, G-Tech Secretary Sreekumar V, Cyber Operation SP Ankit Ashokan, DySP Arunkumar S, and Cyber Dome Inspector Krishnan Potty KG, among others.
