Indigenous Thermal Camera Technology Launched
Thiruvananthapuram: In a significant stride towards fostering innovation and indigenous technological advancements, the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) Thiruvananthapuram, under the InTranSE Program of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), transferred its indigenous thermal camera technology to M/s Aditya Infotech (CP Plus). This move aligns with the Innovation, Science, and Technology theme of Vikshit Bharat @2047.
The thermal smart camera, designed and developed by CDAC Thiruvananthapuram, boasts an inbuilt Data Processing Unit (DPU) capable of running various AI-based analytics. This indigenized technology is poised to revolutionize applications across multiple domains, including Smart cities, Industries, Defence, and Health. Notably, the field implementation, testing, and validation of this advanced camera were conducted for road traffic applications, showcasing its versatility and practical utility.
ITS Technology/Product Booklet Launch:
As part of the InTranSE program initiated by the R&D group of MeitY, a comprehensive compilation of technologies, products, and solutions developed for traffic control, public transit, road safety, sensors for traffic applications, etc., has been curated into a booklet form. This booklet, aimed at raising awareness, was officially launched during the technology transfer event.
