India and Netherlands Strengthen Defence Ties with High-Level Meeting

New Delhi: Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh and Netherlands Defence Minister Ruben Brekelmans held a crucial meeting in New Delhi to explore avenues for strengthening bilateral defence cooperation. The discussions focused on security collaboration, information exchange, and engagement in the Indo-Pacific, alongside potential partnerships in emerging technologies.

During the meeting, both leaders emphasized enhancing cooperation in shipbuilding, defence equipment manufacturing, and space technology by leveraging the strengths of both nations in skills, technology, and scalability. They also discussed joint efforts in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and advanced defence technologies, with a focus on connecting research institutes and defence organisations from both countries.

Following the discussions, Rajnath Singh shared on X that India is keen on further strengthening its defence partnership with the Netherlands, highlighting the meeting as a step towards deeper strategic ties.

As India continues to expand its defence partnerships globally, the meeting reflects the commitment of both nations to enhance technological collaboration, strengthen security cooperation, and ensure a stable and secure Indo-Pacific region.
