IIT Ropar Shines at VIVIBHA 2024, Showcasing Innovations for a Sustainable Bharat

Gurugram: IIT Ropar proudly participated in VIVIBHA 2024, a prestigious three-day national conference organized by Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal (BSM) at SGT University, Gurugram. Themed “Vision for Viksit Bharat,” the event celebrated India’s cultural heritage while spotlighting cutting-edge research and innovations driving the nation toward self-reliance.

The Technology and Innovation Foundation-AWaDH (Agriculture and Water Technology Development Hub) from IIT Ropar emerged as a star attraction at the event. Its stall, part of the “Research to Realisation” exhibition, captivated attendees, including Union Minister of Education Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, who engaged with the team to explore the showcased innovations. Prof. Rajeev Ahuja, Director of IIT Ropar, also lent his support to the team’s efforts.

In a proud moment, AWaDH received the Best Stall Award in the Academia category, a testament to its impactful research and commitment to societal transformation.

IIT Ropar’s AWaDH hub showcased pioneering technologies aimed at sustainable solutions in agriculture, water management, and environmental conservation. Key innovations included:

  • Moohsense: An AI-powered livestock management system.
  • Digital Entomologist: A biodiversity monitoring tool using advanced digital technologies.
  • Nanobubble Technology: A cutting-edge solution for water purification.
  • Air Sense: Advanced sensors for monitoring and improving air quality.
  • Soil Health Monitoring System: Precision farming tools designed to optimize productivity.

These innovations underscore IIT Ropar’s commitment to solving real-world challenges and fostering sustainable development.

The theme of VIVIBHA 2024—integrating Bharat-centric research with the country’s cultural heritage—resonated deeply with AWaDH’s mission. The event reinforced the synergy between tradition and innovation, paving the way for a sustainable and prosperous future.

By highlighting transformative technologies and their societal impact, IIT Ropar’s participation in VIVIBHA 2024 exemplified its dedication to building a self-reliant and progressive nation. As India moves toward its Vision for Viksit Bharat, collaborations like these bridge the gap between academic research and real-world applications, ensuring a brighter future for generations to come.
