
Bhubaneswar: Healthcare services for railway beneficiaries are set to receive a boost with the commissioning of several advanced medical equipment at Central Hospital, Bhubaneswar, on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day.
Shri Parmeswar Funkwal, General Manager, East Coast Railway, inaugurated the newly installed facilities at the hospital. The equipment is expected to strengthen diagnostic services, surgical care, ophthalmic treatment and infection control.
The newly commissioned facilities include an Automated Biochemistry & Immunoassay Analyser, 4K Laparoscopy System, Non-Contact Tonometer and ETO Steriliser.
The Automated Biochemistry & Immunoassay Analyser will enhance the hospital’s diagnostic capabilities by enabling efficient laboratory testing. The 4K Laparoscopy System will support advanced minimally invasive surgical procedures with improved visualisation.
The Non-Contact Tonometer will strengthen ophthalmic services by facilitating convenient measurement of intraocular pressure, while the ETO Steriliser will improve infection control and sterilisation practices for medical equipment.
The commissioning of the equipment is expected to improve the quality and efficiency of healthcare services available to Railway employees, pensioners and other eligible beneficiaries.
