East Coast Railway Bharat Scouts & Guides Hosts State Level Rovers & Rangers Meet in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway Bharat Scouts & Guides is currently hosting a State Level Rovers & Rangers Meet at its headquarters in Bhubaneswar, bringing together enthusiastic volunteers from various divisions across the region. Participants from the Khurda Road, Sambalpur, and Waltair Divisions, along with teams from the Headquarters, Mancheswar Carriage Repair Workshop, and the Puri Unit, have gathered for this event, focused on skill development and community service.

A standout feature of the meet was the compelling Nukkad Natak (street play) performances by the volunteers, designed to raise public awareness on two critical issues—cleanliness and the fight against corruption. The volunteers creatively conveyed important messages through their performances, urging the public to embrace cleanliness in daily life and to actively oppose all forms of corruption.

The event was graced by East Coast Railway General Manager, Parmeshwar Funkwal, who commended the volunteers for their efforts. In his address, Funkwal lauded their commitment to social causes and encouraged them to continue their commendable work. He emphasized the importance of youth involvement in nation-building and highlighted the role of Rovers and Rangers in fostering a cleaner, more transparent society. Funkwal assured the volunteers that the East Coast Railway would continue to support such meaningful initiatives.

The Rovers and Rangers, through their service and community-driven activities, play a key role in promoting the values of the Bharat Scouts & Guides across the East Coast Railway. This State Level Meet serves as a platform not only for skill development but also for strengthening the volunteers’ commitment to social causes and nation-building.
