Dr. Sailesh Kumar Appointed as the New President of AIIMS Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare announced the appointment of Dr. Sailesh Kumar as the new President of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar. The notification, released on Monday, cited the authority conferred by section 7 (1) of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences Act, 1956, as amended by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (Amendment) Act, 2012.

Dr. Sailesh Kumar, currently serving as a professor in the Surgery department at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in New Delhi, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. Additionally, he holds the position of a senior member of the governing body of AIIMS, Bhubaneswar. The appointment is expected to contribute to the continued growth and excellence of AIIMS Bhubaneswar under Dr. Kumar’s leadership.
