DGS and C-DAC Sign Landmark MoU to Revolutionize India’s Maritime Sector
New Delhi: 45 In a major step toward advancing technological innovation in India’s maritime sector, the Directorate General of Shipping (DGS) and the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), signed a pivotal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today.
The MoU, signed by Shyam Jagannathan, Director General of Shipping, and Shri E. Magesh, Director General of C-DAC, at an event held at MeitY, symbolizes a strategic partnership aimed at transforming the maritime industry through cutting-edge technologies. S. Krishnan, Secretary, MeitY, along with senior officials from MeitY, DG Shipping, and C-DAC, graced the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, S. Krishnan highlighted the potential of this collaboration to modernize maritime administration and drive innovation within the sector. The partnership reflects DGS’s vision of establishing India as a globally recognized, progressive maritime administration by leveraging technological excellence.
