CERT-In and SISA Launch India’s First ANAB-Accredited AI Security Certification Program

Bengaluru: The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, in collaboration with SISA, a global leader in forensics-driven cybersecurity, has launched the Certified Security Professional for Artificial Intelligence (CSPAI) program. This public-private partnership marks a significant milestone in the realm of AI security certification in India, offering the first-ever ANAB-accredited AI security certification.

The CSPAI program is designed to equip security professionals with essential skills to seamlessly integrate AI into business applications while adhering to sustainable cybersecurity practices. The launch event took place at SISA’s headquarters in Bengaluru, where the Director General of CERT-In, Dr. Sanjay Bahl, and SISA’s Founder and CEO, Mr. Dharshan Shanthamurthy, presented ANAB-accredited AI Security Certification certificates to cybersecurity professionals.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Sanjay Bahl emphasized the importance of the CSPAI program in preparing professionals for the evolving AI-driven cybersecurity landscape. “This incisive and timely program empowers professionals with the expertise to understand AI systems and proactively address the new spectrum of threats. The CSPAI course is tailored to the rapidly changing threat landscape, blending key elements of AI security. It will not only enhance professionals’ ability to deploy secure and trustworthy AI but also create opportunities for emerging AI-related job roles,” said Dr. Bahl. He also highlighted CERT-In’s commitment to fostering public-private partnerships to strengthen India’s cybersecurity ecosystem.

SISA CEO Mr. Dharshan Shanthamurthy echoed these sentiments, stating, “The launch of the CSPAI program perfectly complements our Cyber Nalanda initiative, aimed at addressing future cybersecurity challenges. This program reflects our commitment to solving critical security issues, both in India and globally. By equipping professionals with the necessary tools to protect AI systems, we are building a safer digital future, driven by innovation and responsibility.” He also noted that certified professionals from the CSPAI program would play a crucial role in enhancing organizational security, reducing breaches, and building trust with customers.
