
Ayodhya: Union Minister of Civil Aviation and Steel, Jyotiraditya M Scindia, marked a momentous occasion today as he flagged off the inaugural flight connecting Ayodhya to Bangalore and Kolkata. The ceremony witnessed the esteemed presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Road Transport & Highways, Gen(Dr.) V.K. Singh(Retd.), who played pivotal roles in the initiation of these significant air routes.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Scindia highlighted the historic connectivity achieved by linking Ayodhya to Ahmedabad, Delhi, Kolkata, and Bengaluru. Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the ‘Maharshi Valmiki International Airport’ in Ayodhya has successfully established connections to all corners of the country within a span of 17 days since its international airport launch. Minister Scindia emphasized that this enhanced connectivity will facilitate devotees from across the nation in visiting the newly built grand Ram temple in Ayodhya.
Acknowledging the robust aviation infrastructure development in Uttar Pradesh, Minister Scindia commended the support extended by the state government. He announced the ambitious plan for Uttar Pradesh to boast a total of 16 airports by the end of this year, with a vision to increase the count to 19 airports by 2025.
Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Gen (Dr.) V.K. Singh(Retd.), expressed gratitude to Air India Express for initiating this crucial flight route. He also extended his appreciation to the Uttar Pradesh state government for their continuous support. Emphasizing the significance of this new flight route, he stated that it symbolizes a commitment to expanding air connectivity and promoting accessibility across regions. This initiative, he emphasized, will not only boost tourism but also contribute significantly to the economic development of the connected cities, fostering a spirit of national integration and progress.
