PM Modi Conferred Dominica’s Highest National Award at India-CARICOM Summit
Georgetown, Guyana: On November 20, 2024, Her Excellency Sylvanie Burton, President of the Commonwealth of Dominica, conferred the prestigious Dominica Award of Honour on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in recognition of his exceptional statesmanship, steadfast support to Dominica during the COVID-19 pandemic, and his unwavering commitment to strengthening the ties between India and Dominica. The award ceremony was held on the sidelines of the Second India-CARICOM Summit in Georgetown, Guyana, and was attended by several regional leaders, including the Prime Minister of Dominica, H.E. Roosevelt Skerrit, and other CARICOM heads of state and government.
In a moment of great significance, the ceremony was also graced by the President of Guyana, H.E. Dr. Irfaan Ali, and the Prime Ministers of Barbados, H.E. Mia Amor Mottley, Grenada, H.E. Dickon Mitchell, Saint Lucia, H.E. Philip J. Pierre, and Antigua and Barbuda, H.E. Gaston Browne, who all witnessed the historic occasion.
