Bhubaneswar: In a significant move towards providing cutting-edge skills to the youth of Odisha, the World Skill Centre (WSC) in Bhubaneswar has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ITE Education Services (ITEES), Singapore, to establish a Spatial Artificial Intelligence (SAI) Centre.
The SAI Centre, slated to be operational by 2025, aims to revolutionize the quality of skill training and education by integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into various advanced skill training courses offered at WSC.
Alka Misra, Chairperson of the Odisha Skill Development Authority (OSDA) and CEO of WSC, emphasized the advantage of remote learning provided by the SAI Centre. She highlighted that learners will gain exposure to align themselves with industry standards in AI, enhancing their employability.
The WSC SAI initiative aligns with the ‘Skilled In Odisha’ vision of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, demonstrating a commitment to equipping students with the skills required for the evolving demands of the future workforce.
Under the MoU, ITEES will play a crucial role in establishing the SAI Centre and training faculty members as SAI professionals to ensure smooth operations. The implementation of this initiative will be facilitated by EON Reality, a leading AI solutions provider in the field of education and skill development.
