West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee Hospitalized After Fall at Home

Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was hospitalized on Thursday evening following an accidental slip at her residence in South Kolkata, resulting in an injury to her forehead, as reported by the Trinamool Congress.

According to the party’s statement, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee stumbled while taking a walk at her residence in Kalighat on Thursday evening, leading to the injury.

The Trinamool Congress confirmed the incident through its official social media handle, stating, “Our chairperson @MamataOfficial sustained a major injury. Please keep her in your prayers.”

Chief Minister Banerjee was admitted to the state-run SSKM Medical College & Hospital, where was under medical examination by a team of doctors.

Later, she was shifted to the Bangur Institute of Neurosciences at the IPGME&R – SSKM Hospital Centre in Kolkata for treatment. However, after stitches and necessary tests, the CM was taken to her residence.
