Weightlifter Mirabai Chanu Appointed as ASP in Manipur Police
Imphal: Tokyo Olympic silver medalist Saikhom Mirabai Chanu has been appointed as the Additional Superintendent of Police (Sports) in Manipur Police.
Mirabai took charge for the same on Saturday in presence of Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh.
CM Singh tweeted about Mirabai taking the charge as Additional Superintendent of Police.

Sharing her happiness one being assigned a new role, Mirabai shared some pics on her social media account.

She created a history by becoming the first Indian weightlifter to win a silver medal in weightlifting at 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
