Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has revised the weekly off day for the 20836/20835 Puri–Rourkela–Puri Vande Bharat Express, aiming to streamline operations and better accommodate passenger demand. Starting June 3, 2025, the train will now remain non-operational on Tuesdays instead of Saturdays.
With this change, the Vande Bharat Express will resume Saturday operations from June 7, 2025. The East Coast Railway clarified that all other aspects of the service—including timings and scheduled halts—will remain unchanged.
Officials stated that the adjustment was made after reviewing ridership patterns and operational logistics. The shift is expected to improve availability for weekend travelers and enhance overall efficiency.
Passengers are encouraged to plan their journeys accordingly and stay updated through the official East Coast Railway website or by contacting railway enquiry services.
