Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar to Inaugurate ‘Hamara Samvidhan, Hamara Samman’ Campaign
New Delhi: The Vice-President, Jagdeep Dhankhar, is set to inaugurate a year-long nationwide campaign titled ‘Hamara Samvidhan, Hamara Samman’ at the Dr Ambedkar International Centre on 24th January 2024. The initiative, commemorating the 75th Year of India as a Republic, aims to reaffirm the collective commitment to the principles enshrined in the Constitution of India and celebrate the shared values that bind the nation together.
The campaign will be inaugurated with a grand event featuring various activities and themes designed to instill a sense of pride and responsibility in upholding the ideals outlined in the constitutional framework. The overarching objective is to empower every citizen to contribute meaningfully to India’s democratic journey.
Some of the key themes covered during the campaign include:
1. Sabko Nyay – Har Ghar Nyaya:
Aims to connect villagers through the Village Level Entrepreneurs of the Common Service Centers.
Encourages the reading of the Sabko Nyay pledge.
Introduction of ‘Nyaya Sahayaks’ to spearhead awareness about citizen-centric legal services.
Nyaya Seva Mela at the State/UT level to provide guidance, information, and support on various legal services and government schemes.
2. Nav Bharat Nav Sankalp:
Encourages the masses to embrace the resolutions of Panch Pran by reading the Panch Pran Pledge.
Opportunities for citizens to showcase talent and creativity through Panch Pran Rangotsav (Poster Making competition) and Panch Pran Anubhav (Reel/Video making competition).
Citizen participation in testing knowledge of the Constitution through engaging activities on the My Gov platform.
3. Vidhi Jagriti Abhiyan:
Involves students in carrying the message of Panch Pran to villages adopted by Law colleges under the Pro Bono Club scheme.
Disseminates legal information about rights, responsibilities, and entitlements in engaging and entertaining ways.
Touches vulnerable sections of society through Gram Vidhi Chetna, Vanchit Varg Samman, and Nari Bhagidari initiatives.
During the event, the launch of ‘Nyaya Setu’ will be a significant step towards extending and expanding the reach of legal services to the last mile. ‘Nyaya Setu’ will provide a unified legal interface for legal information, advice, and assistance, contributing to a more inclusive and just society.
The event will also witness the release of the achievement booklet of the Scheme on Access to Justice ‘Designing Innovative Solutions for Holistic Access to Justice’ (DISHA). Under the DISHA scheme, the Tele Law Programme has connected over 67 lakh citizens for pre-litigation advice through the Tele-Law Citizens Mobile App and 2.5 lakh Common Service Centers (CSC) across 36 States and UTs.
The campaign, undertaken by the Department of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India, will be attended by dignitaries including Minister of State(I/C) for Law and Justice Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal and Attorney General of India, R. Venkatramani, as Guests of Honour. The event will be attended by 650+ Tele-Law functionaries from Common Service Centres across the country, students, and faculty of Pro Bono Law colleges, concluding with a keynote address by the Vice-President.
