Dhar, Madhya Pradesh: Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Savitri Thakur, inaugurated the Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2024 in Dhar district on September 1, 2024. The nationwide initiative, aimed at combating malnutrition, will run throughout September.
In her address, Thakur emphasized the critical role of the Poshan Abhiyaan, launched in 2018 under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in reducing malnutrition, particularly in tribal regions. “This campaign has been instrumental in improving the nutritional status of our children and mothers, ensuring a healthier future for India,” she remarked.
Thakur encouraged citizens to actively participate in the month-long activities, urging communities to contribute to building a “healthy, prosperous, and powerful India” by addressing malnutrition at the grassroots level.
The launch event also saw the participation of the Women and Child Development Minister of Madhya Pradesh, who echoed the importance of community involvement in making Rashtriya Poshan Maah a success.
Throughout September 2024, various programs will be organized across the country under the Rashtriya Poshan Maah to promote nutrition awareness, with a focus on improving health outcomes for children, women, and vulnerable populations.
