New Delhi: Union Minister of Panchayati Raj and Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Rajiv Ranjan Singh, also known as Lalan Singh, chaired a pivotal review meeting today to evaluate the ongoing activities, initiatives, and implementation strategies of the Ministry of Panchayati Raj. The session was also attended by Union Minister of State for Panchayati Raj and Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Prof. S. P. Singh Baghel, along with other senior officials of the ministry.
Secretary of the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Vivek Bharadwaj, provided a detailed overview of the ministry’s initiatives and efforts, highlighting key interventions and priority areas. The review focused on the current status of various schemes and initiatives undertaken by the ministry, and an in-depth discussion was held on future action plans.
Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh emphasized the importance of collective efforts to ensure the government’s initiatives make a transformative impact at the grassroots level in rural areas. He expressed confidence that with coordinated and concerted efforts from all stakeholders, the Ministry of Panchayati Raj would achieve its targeted objectives, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Viksit Bharat vision.
“Leveraging the collective efforts of all stakeholders is crucial to ensure our initiatives have a transformative impact at the grassroots level. With coordinated efforts, we can achieve our targeted objectives in line with the Viksit Bharat vision,” said Rajiv Ranjan Singh.
Prof. S. P. Singh Baghel stressed the importance of using digital technology and app-based real-time monitoring to enhance the efficiency and transparency of Panchayati Raj Institutions. He emphasized that these tools are essential for the proper implementation of schemes and the delivery of services.
Union Minister Lalan Singh provided instructions and suggestions for the timely implementation of all schemes. He underscored the necessity of setting definite timeframes to ensure the successful execution of initiatives, ultimately aiming for noticeable improvements in rural governance and development.
Prof. Baghel’s insights on digital advancements highlighted the need for robust digital frameworks to monitor real-time progress effectively. He suggested that app-based monitoring systems could enhance the accountability and transparency of Panchayati Raj Institutions.
“Digital technology and app-based real-time monitoring should be highly effective tools for Panchayati Raj Institutions. They ensure transparency and efficiency, crucial for the proper implementation of schemes and delivery of services,” Prof. Baghel noted.
