New Delhi: Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Nitin Gadkari, announced a significant allocation of Rs. 374.17 crores for a crucial infrastructure development project in Odisha. The funds will be utilized for the construction of a 3.5 Km long 6-lane flyover at Ainthapalli junction and a 2-lane ROB (LHS) on NH-53 (formerly NH-6) in the Sambalpur district.
The construction will follow the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) mode, ensuring efficient and timely execution of the project. The primary objective of the proposed 6-lane flyover is to address and alleviate heavy traffic congestion at the Ainthapali Chowk, a key junction in the region.
Union Minister Gadkari highlighted the strategic importance of this infrastructure development initiative, emphasizing its role in enhancing traffic management and connectivity in the Sambalpur district. The 2-lane Railway Over Bridge (ROB) will be a crucial addition, previously excluded from the Teleibani-Sambalpur 4-lanning project on NH-53.
