
Union Minister Jyotiraditya M Scindia Flags Off Inaugural Ayodhya-Bangalore-Kolkata Flight
Ayodhya: In a historic moment, Union Minister of Civil Aviation and Steel, Shri Jyotiraditya M Scindia, inaugurated the first flight connecting Ayodhya to Bangalore and Kolkata. The ceremony witnessed the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Road Transport & Highways, Gen(Dr.) V.K. Singh(Retd.).
Addressing the audience, Minister Scindia highlighted the significance of connecting Ayodhya to Ahmedabad, Delhi, Kolkata, and Bengaluru within 17 days of the launch of the Maharshi Valmiki International Airport. He emphasized that this connectivity will facilitate devotees from across the nation to visit the newly constructed Ram temple in Ayodhya.
Commending the aviation infrastructure development in Uttar Pradesh, Minister Scindia praised the state government’s support in swiftly developing airports. He announced plans for 16 airports in Uttar Pradesh this year, with the number expected to reach 19 by 2025.
Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Gen (Dr.) V.K. Singh(Retd.), expressed gratitude to Air India Express for initiating the flight and appreciated the continuous support from the Uttar Pradesh government. He stated that the launch signifies a commitment to expanding air connectivity, fostering tourism, and contributing to the economic development of connected cities.
Operated by Air India Express, the Ayodhya-Bangalore-Kolkata flight service will be available three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
