Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri Interacts with Beneficiaries of Government Schemes at Republic Day Parade

New Delhi: Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister for Housing & Urban Affairs and Petroleum & Natural Gas, interacted with the beneficiaries of various schemes from the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs (MoHUA) and Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG) who were invited to witness the Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path. The Minister emphasized that the beneficiaries are not just recipients of government schemes but are the future of the country, and their contributions are being recognized.

During the interaction, Shri Puri highlighted the government’s commitment to the upliftment and empowerment of all Indians, especially those from vulnerable and marginalized sections of society. He mentioned key schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), and PM SVANidhi Yojana, which aim to empower and uplift citizens.

Shri Puri expressed confidence in India’s economic growth, noting that the country has become the fastest-growing major economy globally. He encouraged the attendees to read the constitution for inspiration and emphasized the importance of hard work and the Prime Minister’s vision for a developed nation by 2047.

Discussing the impact of the PMUY scheme, the Minister highlighted how it provided smoke-free kitchens and economic empowerment to women across the country. The Ujjwala scheme has provided LPG connections to nearly 10.35 crore households, transforming the lives of women who were previously reliant on traditional and harmful sources of fuel.

Shri Puri also praised the progress made under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, with over 4 crore houses sanctioned, including both PMAY-Urban and PMAY-Gramin. He acknowledged the role of women employees from various Nagar Nigams and construction workers who contributed to the development of urban areas.

The Minister concluded by expressing gratitude to the attendees for their contributions to the transformation of Delhi and other urban areas in the country. The event aimed to recognize and motivate individuals who have benefited from government schemes and played a role in nation-building.
