Union Minister Encourages Young Innovators on National Startup Day

Delhi: On National Startup Day, Union Minister of State for Electronics and IT, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar, commended the prowess of young Indians in cutting-edge technology, design, and innovation. During an interaction with three remarkable individuals, he emphasized the role of young Indians as ambassadors of New India, symbolizing the nation’s transformation.

The chosen participants—Gauri Nandana M, a high school student from New Delhi; Pekru Pienyu, co-founder of the innovative Re-Dimension game from Nagaland; and Tusha Tanya, a senior PhD research scholar from IIT Delhi—were invited to visit boAt’s electronics manufacturing unit in Delhi-NCR.

Addressing the youngsters, Minister Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar shared insights from his entrepreneurial journey and chip designing experience. He encouraged clarity, determination, and a focused approach in their endeavors, emphasizing the importance of staying the course and understanding that success often requires patience and persistence.

Following the interaction, the Minister visited the boAt factory, engaging in discussions with co-founder Shri Aman Gupta. The participants explored the assembly unit, had a Q&A session with boAt’s leadership, and gained insights into the workings of a Make in India electronics manufacturing unit.

The Minister gifted a book authored by Steve Jobs to each participant and expressed gratitude for their contributions.

Reflecting on National Startup Day, Minister Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar highlighted the government’s support in fostering a robust startup ecosystem, semiconductor industry, and embracing emerging technologies. He envisioned a future with 10 lakh startups and 10,000 unicorns in the next decade.

Shri Aman Gupta, co-founder of boAt, praised the Government of India’s role in shaping the entrepreneurial ecosystem, acknowledging Prime Minister Modi’s vision. He emphasized boAt’s commitment to ‘Make for the World’ and thanked the Minister for his efforts in making India a global innovation hub.
