Union Home Minister Amit Shah Inaugurates ₹194 Crore Development Projects in Kalol, Gujarat
Kalol, Gandhinagar: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah, today inaugurated 19 developmental works and laid the foundation stone for 8 new projects, collectively worth ₹194 crore, in Kalol, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The projects span critical infrastructure, education, and community development, marking another milestone in the state’s progressive journey.
In his address, Shah highlighted the significant strides made under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. “Previously, even small developmental works faced numerous hurdles, but today, projects worth ₹194 crore are being executed in a single day,” he said. He pointed out key projects, including underpasses to reduce travel distances within the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency, and the demolition of dilapidated school buildings to make way for new classrooms.
One major project includes the foundation stone for a six-lane road connecting Kalol and Sanand, which aims to enhance regional connectivity and reduce commuting times.
Shah underscored community-driven initiatives launched under Gandhinagar taluka, including:
- Distribution of nutritious laddoos to pregnant women in villages.
- Provision of new clothes to Anganwadi girls.
- Distribution of musical instruments to Bhajan mandals.
“These efforts reflect the government’s commitment to grassroots development and improving the quality of life in rural areas,” he stated.
The Union Home Minister also lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s transformative leadership. He emphasized landmark achievements, including:
- Revocation of Article 370: Shah noted that the revocation of Article 370 on August 5, 2019, restored peace and progress in Jammu & Kashmir. “Today, Lal Chowk in Kashmir hosts peaceful Krishna Janmashtami processions, and 2.8 crore tourists have visited the region, showcasing its natural beauty,” he said.
- Construction of the Ram Temple: Shah celebrated the fulfillment of the promise to build the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
- Economic Growth: He highlighted that India has become the 5th largest economy in the world under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership and is poised to reach the 3rd position by 2027.
Shah reiterated the government’s vision to make India a fully developed nation by 2047, the centenary of independence. “Transformational changes across India, including Gujarat, are laying the foundation for global leadership in every field,” he said.
Shah praised Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel for carrying forward the development momentum initiated by Prime Minister Modi during his tenure as Chief Minister of the state.
