Union Home Minister Amit Shah Guides Chhattisgarh MLAs on Effective Governance

Raipur: Today, Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah delivered an insightful address at the orientation program for newly elected Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) in Chhattisgarh, held in Raipur. The event, attended by dignitaries, including Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnu DeoSai, aimed to provide guidance to the elected representatives.

In his address, Shri Amit Shah emphasized the timeless pursuit of knowledge, stating that there is no age limit for learning. He encouraged MLAs to recognize their role as bearers of tradition, emphasizing the responsibilities towards their constituencies, party ideology, and the progress of the entire state. Shri Shah underlined the importance of systematic time and energy allocation for success in these areas.

Offering practical advice, Shri Amit Shah suggested developing the habit of providing written inputs to the administration for quicker problem resolution. He emphasized the importance of understanding administrative processes and working collaboratively with officials to address public issues effectively.

Addressing the legislative responsibility of MLAs, Shri Shah urged them to study bills thoroughly, understand their consequences, and act responsibly. He emphasized the role of MLAs as the link between the government, opposition, and the public, urging them to work towards conveying government schemes to the public.

Reflecting on the achievements of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s government, Shri Amit Shah highlighted significant legislative changes, including the abolition of Article 370, the enactment of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), and the end of Triple Talaq. He urged MLAs to study the language and procedure of law to become effective legislators, cautioning against compromising the dignity of the House through inappropriate speeches.

Concluding his address, the Union Home Minister urged aspiring politicians to prioritize connection, communication, and hard work for successful political engagement. He emphasized the importance of public dialogue, connecting with different sections of society, and learning the art of public relations for effective governance.
