
Bhubaneswar: In a bid to propel the tourism sector in Odisha and foster collaborations on a national and global scale, the Department of Tourism, Government of Odisha, and the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) are set to co-host the 5th Edition of Odisha Travel Bazar (OTB) 2023-24. This flagship exhibition, scheduled from 7th to 9th February 2023 at Eco Retreat Konark, will be inaugurated virtually by the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
Additional Chief Secretary of Tourism Department, Surendra Kumar, expressed that OTB will serve as a platform to promote tourist destinations in the state to both domestic buyers from India and the international market. The event will witness participation from 70 domestic tour operators representing 27 cities across 18 states and 55 tour operators from 16 countries, reinforcing the state’s vision to establish Odisha as a diverse tourism hub of global standards.
OTDC Chairman, Dr. Lenin Mohanty, emphasized the ongoing efforts of the Tourism Department, guided by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. The three-day Odisha Travel Bazar is poised to elevate the tourism potential of the state.
Director of the Tourism Department, Sachin Ramchandra Jadhav, outlined the event’s focus on facilitating meetings between Odisha’s tourism fraternity and domestic as well as foreign tour operators. The event will also include familiarization trips to various tourism destinations, showcasing the rich cultural heritage and natural beauty of the state.

Mohanty, Co-Chairman of FICCI Travel, Tourism & Hospitality Committee and CMD of Swosti Hotels, highlighted the significance of Odisha Travel Bazar as a platform for engaging with stakeholders from the global travel and tourism industry. The event aims to provide a firsthand experience of Odisha’s diverse tourism products, contributing to effective marketing to a global audience.
The Odisha Travel Bazar 2023-24 is anticipated to play a pivotal role in positioning Odisha as a must-visit destination, inviting travelers to explore its cultural tapestry and natural wonders.
