Thailand’s Opal Suchata Crowned Miss World 2025 in Hyderabad; India’s Nandini Gupta Misses Top 8

Hyderabad: In a spectacular display of elegance and empowerment, Thailand’s Opal Suchata was crowned Miss World 2025 during a dazzling finale of the 72nd edition of the prestigious pageant held in Hyderabad, Telangana. The reigning queen, Krystyna Pyszkova of the Czech Republic, handed over the crown in a moment of global celebration and grace.

Opal’s victory not only brought joy to her nation but also captivated audiences worldwide, particularly with her symbolic attire. She walked the stage in a flowing white gown embellished with opal-like florals and Swarovski crystals—an ensemble she described as a tribute to the powerful journey of “Opal For HER,” a representation of healing, resilience, and inner strength.

“This gown reflects women who choose hope over fear,” Opal shared on Instagram. “The soft flare mirrors the ripple effect of compassion—how one heart can awaken many. The crystals represent the inner light that guides us through darkness. Just like the opal, I shine in my own light.”

Her words resonated deeply as she stood as a beacon of inspiration, not just for aspiring beauty queens, but for women everywhere.

While Thailand celebrated its new international titleholder, there was disappointment for India as Nandini Gupta, who had earlier advanced to the Top 40, did not make it to the Top 8 finalists. Nandini, one of 18 contestants to fast-track through early rounds, had raised expectations but could not secure a place in the final stages of the competition.
