Director of Health Services, Dr. Bijay Kumar Mohapatra, confirmed the distressing statistics, highlighting the severity of the situation. Among the reported cases, three tragic deaths have been recorded in Dhenkanal, Balasore, and Mayurbhanj.
Amidst the alarming rise in heat-related illnesses, health authorities have initiated a thorough investigation to ascertain the cause of death for an additional 17 individuals across various locations in the state.
